Having just spent a few weeks in Kampot assisting in some of the classes at CLS, I can thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone who is interested in helping out in this way. Kampot and its people are relaxed and welcoming and there is plenty to explore in this part of Cambodia. The students at CLS are very rewarding to work with as they are totally cooperative and eager to learn.
Anyone wanting more information on my experiences there is welcome to contact me, Richard Willis, at rickewillis@gmail.com
Hi to Mr Sandy, Mr Thy and all the teachers and students at Chumkriel Language School.
On two separate visits to Kampot we have been warmly welcomed and enjoyed helping to teach english to students at the school - despite our lack of experience.
We highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who is visiting Cambodia and wanting to volunteer in some capacity. For more information you can visit the Kampot Interact web site or contact the school via this blog.
Good luck. We hope to be able to visit again some time.
Stu and Carmel
